What is the duty of a respondent to accommodate an accommodation seeker?

Ontario, Canada

The following excerpt is from Polito v. Briarlane Property Management Inc., 2019 HRTO 708 (CanLII):

Even an imperfect accommodation that is not within the preference of an accommodation seeker may discharge a respondent’s duty to accommodate. It is noteworthy that an accommodation seeker may experience some hardship without the accommodation being rendered unreasonable see Coates v. G4S Secure Solutions (Canada) Ltd., 2018 HRTO 1005 at para. 86.
