In Sun Life Assur. Co. of Canada v. Elliott (1902) 1900 CanLII 32 (SCC), 31 SCR 91, reversing 7 BCR 189, Sedgewick, J., on behalf of the majority of the court, held that a voluntary conveyance of land is void under the Fraudulent Conveyances Act, 1510, as tending to hinder and delay creditors though the vendor was solvent when it was made if it results in denuding him of all his property and so rendering him insolvent thereafter.
