What is the test for determining the quality of error in a professional conduct case?

British Columbia, Canada

The following excerpt is from May (Re), 2021 LSBC 35 (CanLII):

We agree with counsel for the Respondent that the quality of the Respondent’s error must be assessed in context. As held in Law Society of BC v. Harding, 2014 LSBC 52 at para. 68, “Whether conduct ‘has crossed the permissible bounds’ must be assessed in a holistic way, taking into account all of the circumstances and the nature of the impugned conduct.”
