According to Stevens v. Canada, solicitor-client privilege is waived if material for which it is claimed is provided to a third party. Stevens v. Canada (Prime Minister), 1997 CanLII 4805 (FC), [1997] 2 F.C. 759 at 774 (F.C.T.D.) aff'd 1998 CanLII 9075 (FCA), [1998] 4 F.C. 89 at 120.
