As explained in Rennie v. WCB, 2007 NUCJ 22, [2007] Nu.J. No.25, full indemnity costs are the Ontario equivalent to party-party costs on the solicitor-client scale (solicitor client costs). These are usually awarded only in cases where there has been reprehensible, scandalous or outrageous conduct on the part of one of the parties. While the actions of the Respondent are deserving of a sanction in costs, they do not amount to this level of conduct.
