The rules of law which govern the issue of entitlement to spousal support, and quantum of spousal support, are set out in s. 15.2 of the Divorce Act. The interpretation of those rules as they apply to a claim on compensatory grounds, was given in Moge v. Moge, 1992 CanLII 25 (SCC), [1992] 3 S.C.R. 813.
