4 Our high court recognized no distinction between parolees and probationers in People v. Ramos (2004) 34 Cal.4th 494, 505, fn. 3, 21 Cal.Rptr.3d 575, 101 P.3d 478. The court applied Sanders ' advance knowledge requirement to a probation search, but rejected the defendant's Fourth Amendment claim because officers conducting the search were aware the defendant was on probation and subject to a search condition.
